Field of study: History of Modern Art
His main field of research concerns lively exchanges between international artists and the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in the first half of the 20th century. He is also collaborating on the organization of an exhibition dedicated to the Romantic painter Giuseppe Bezzuoli (Galleria degli Uffizi, April-July 2020). Between 2016-2017, he was Pre-Doctoral fellow at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., and in the summer of 2017 he received a bi-monthly grant from the U.S. Capitol Historical Society, Washington, D.C. Amedei is currently in New York as a Post-Doc at the CIMA (Center for Italian Modern Art) until July 2020.
