Ambito di studi: Architectural Design
Gabriele Bartocci’s design research focuses on the exercise of architectural composition carried out using a compositional method based on a survey of the permanent signs of a territory (the Italian one) and their consequent typological interpretation. Underlying the design theory is the continuity of the construction tradition of a context and the settlement principles that have defined its specific nature over time. His writings include: L’architettura della città di Urbino. Da Francesco di Giorgio a Giancarlo De Carlo, Ed. Diabasis, Parma 2014; Tempo della città, tempo della campagna. Esercizi di architettura, DIDA PRESS, Florence 2017; Gabriele Bartocci. Architetture civili, Ed. Sideways, Florence 2017.
