Biagio Guccione’s sole focus is landscape design and planning. For decades, he has promoted landscape architecture throughout Italy by teaching, conducting research, scientific dissemination and his professional work. In 2002 he won the Grinzane Giardini Hanbury award for his book Parks and Contemporary Gardens. He is the author of over 500 essays and articles, the majority of which have appeared in Italian and foreign magazines. Among his foremost works is the restoration of the Donnafugata Castle Garden as well as the plan for the Arno Metropolitan Park. His last book was Maestri di paesaggistica, Edifir, Florence 2017.
