His main field of studies in the last period of research concerned the Florentine art of the eighteenth century, with particular attention to the collection and artistic interests of the last Grand Duke Medici, Gian Gastone. Another particular area of interest involves the relationship between the models of Florentine sculpture and the production of white porcelain from the Ginori Doccia Manufactory, found in the catalogue entries of the exhibition Making Beauty: The Ginori Porcelain Manufactory and Its Progeny of Statues (Florence, Museo Nazionale del Bargello, 18 May–1 October 2017).
