Luca Marzi obtained his Degree in Architecture (1994) from the University of Florence and a PhD in architecture technology (2010) with a thesis on Accessibility in Healthcare Facilities. He has provided design and consultancy services for public authorities focusing on accessibility and usability. He has carried out research on information management systems as they relate to accessibility. Since 1999 he is researcher at the Department of Technology of Architecture and Design of the University of Florence. In particular, he is involved with the Monitoring Laboratory for the refurbishment of Florence University Hospital. He works in the field of the computerized management of complex real estate assets. He has participated in European research in the field of BIM modelling-management and the design of CAFM systems. He has published scientific papers and articles on the following topics: design for all, management and monitoring systems for complex projects.
